Abigail Vera

I am originally from California. I received my B.A. in Psychology from UC Berkeley, and also studied language and culture in Spain. Later, I received my Master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Texas at San Antonio. I briefly moved back to California at the start of the pandemic, and then decided to venture out to Bend, Oregon during the Fall of 2020. I am also involved in research in the Social Work field; and am currently working on publications that center on coping skills and a mindfulness approach to trauma-informed care among populations that have experienced or are experiencing complex trauma. In my off time, I love to bake, hike, and indulge in all of the other outdoor activities Central Oregon has to offer. There is nothing like floating down the Deschutes River on a hot Summer day or trekking down to the waterfalls at Tumalo Falls. 

New to the financial services industry, I started working with Tim Jensen when he transitioned to FSC Securities Corporation in May of 2021. One of my core values is the importance of meeting a person where they are through a very whole person centered approach and client empowerment. Thus, what I love about my job is that it gives me the opportunity to do this on a daily basis when working with clients in this industry. So, I highly value service provision while upholding the dignity and worth of each individual.  Furthermore, I wholeheartedly believe that Tim Jensen and Jensen Planning uphold these same core values.
